BEXIL CORPORATION ANNOUNCES CONFERENCE CALL

NEW YORK -- Bexil Corporation (AMEX: BXL) today announced that a conference call to discuss the recent results of the Company and other matters has been scheduled for September 16, 2004 at 10:10 a.m., Eastern Time. Company executives will make a presentation, followed by a presentation by Thomas C. MacArthur, president of York Insurance Services Group, Inc. ("York"), Bexil's 50% owned affiliate. The call will conclude with a brief question and answer session.
